Have you figured out yet what the 'Rustle' is supposed to be? :P

I think it may be 'rust' as the only part indicated is the exhaust pipes. They're tiny and quite fragile so I might replace them with wire. Anyway that's a little away still. I've put the engine on but it needs some tidying up paintwise. That being said the close picture does catch all the imperfections.

I thought as the next major task is to get the upper wing on and I think it'll be quite fragile so I thought I'd get the transfers on now to minimise handling later. Thanks @Patrik for the heads up on the cabane struts. I'll make sure I take it into account when dealing with that stage.

The rudder transfer is a rectangular block rather than shaped which is probably better. I'll leave it to dry off and then trim it with a new scalpel blade.

Main struts added, I've been busy of late and finding time getting the cyano out have been limited. I made a template out of card to get the angles right and although the mating surfaces are limited they are neat and well fitting. I've since drilled out the holes for the cabane struts and will fit them as close as I can to get the look right. @Patrik 's advice has been helpful but won't do what he didn't and expand the upper wing Centre section.

Upper wing on, only four quite small attachment points at the moment, and I'm not 100% sure which pairs of struts to use as the tailplane struts and cabane struts look very similar. I've left the whole thing for the glue to cure overnight on the jig before thinking about handling.

Undercarriage on and left to firm up, as well as the cabane struts. The undercarriage looks quite fragile but it I reasonably strong and does hold the aircraft's weight. I'll still leave it in the jig until the glue cures.

There was a bit of tidying up as I found 'scar' along the centre of the upper wing leading edge which needed filled, sanded and polished. Took a bit of time as the upper wing was very fragile, even after the cabane struts were added and it sitting on the jig. Anyways, got done and painted, the remainder of the transfers added and I took a deep breath and added the main rigging which has helped (along with some more cyano) to firm up the upper wing. Some paint needs tidying up and there's only a few more parts to add, so getting there. Even if it's my opinion, the Plover was a fine looking aircraft.

All the transfers on, the tail support struts on and a few little things to go.

The prop on along with the wheels, a little bit of drilling was needed and a prop shaft fabricated from a piece of paper clip.

The little 'rustle' coloured bits added. I thought they were exhausts but they seem to go into the airframe! Heater lines perhaps? Anyway one was fine but the other broke into 3 pieces, so I've fabricated a replacement from wire and I'll add the other bit a little later.

Some paint touching up to do and then the Plover will be ready for the gallery.

And some shots comparing the Plover with her illustrious, and subsequently much longer lived, compatriot, the Fairey Flycatcher..
