A long time ago I would have loved this. I recall during my spotting days logging these as they contrailed high up and picking them up on my airband radio using the serials as their MAC callsigns .   Also saw many at Mildenhall and if I recall right, there was one in the static at one of the early Biggin Hill Air Fairs.    Sadly though building USAF models now passes me by.   Looks a great kit though.  Incidentally I once had an Aurora 1/110th scale one that was given to me and repainted it as per the scheme shown on the box art and serialled 40612.

Description:

Lockheed C-141A Starlifter Military strategic airlifter. For those of you familiar with the C-141B kit from Roden, be advised that our kit uses only a similar wing, all other sprues are new.
As you shall notice - we also have added interior/cabin parts, which were missing in C-141B.

This looks like a copy of the Roden kit, just shortend. Is that true? I know this one is about twice the cost of the Roden kit but seems to have a better decal set. I'm just looking at the pictures of the kit's sprues I found online.

Well the fact it has a full cockpit over the..... well nothing that Roden supplied in their kit makes this one the far more pleasing kit for me.

Plus I've wanted to build a short body 141 for years..

Thought something was missing. I guess the cockpit windows are large enough to see inside. Looking at the picture here.

Definately not the roden kit. As was stated, we have a full cockpit! 😁

not sure about that. they definetly took roden wings. different plastic and sprues than the rest. i am still confused about the parts layout regarding stabs and gear parts. they put the same parts as roden on the sprue but in different order.... really weird.

I Just picked one up from Hannants and it sure loks like a cut down Roden kit.

The wings and clear parts sprues are identical and the cockpit seems to be the only  "new" part of the kit.

The engine sprue layout is different but you can see that they are based on the Roden engines and the wheels are now in two halves and the main gear sponsons are separate parts presumably to make shortening the longer fuselage easier.

Still , it has saved me the job of cutting a Roden kit down  to get a 141A ;)

Some NASA decals would be nice (Kuiper Airborne Observatory)

The Caracal set has it (scroll down) http://caracalmodels.com/cd144002.html

You have to paint the stripes, though!

You could make a copy of the A&A cockpit in resin and it should be a drop fit into the Roden 141B.
