Fairey Barracuda 1/48th

Recommended Posts

Special Hobby's Fairey Barracuda.

I added crew figures & a torpedo pilfered from a Tamiya Swordfish.

The radar aerials were rebuilt with wire, and I cut open the radiator shutter and made one from plastic card.

Painted with Humbrol enamels.

Always intrigued by this one, as it's one of the earlier ones I built as a kid (Frog version). I'm mesmerised by the upper wing roundels - did you paint them on? Overall, the finish is spot-on, looks like photos of the real thing.

All markings are the kit's decals.

Thanks everyone, appreciate the comments 😀

Nicely done Angelo,.... it is hard to reproduce a decent Tempeate Sea Scheme you have pulled it off with ease.

Cheers

Nice 'Cuda!  I did mine as a natural metal bird, post war COD variant. Unusual look, unique design. Fairey's designs always made me wonder how the got off the ground.
