Jamie @ Sovereign Hobbies
That's very sad. Sabine was an incredibly talented driver and I quite liked her TV personality also - I found it complimented the Jeremy Clarkson TV persona greatly on her Top Gear appearances. Tzulscha
That's very sad. I quite liked her "I could do the Nurburgring under ten minutes in a van!" attitude. That and her little comments to herself as she drove.  Too bad.
JohnT
Very sad. Cancer is such a destroyer of life even though great strides have been made. I do remember her making that statement too 18 minutes ago, Tzulscha said: That's very sad. I quite liked her "I could do the Nurburgring under ten minutes in a van!" attitude. That and her little comments to herself as she drove.  Too bad.   and as I recall she took a Transit around the Ring with Richard Hammond (?) on board and then without him to make it lighter with all the panels etc taped up. She only stopped when it was getting too hairy by far. A life lived to the full.    PS found it here https://www.grandtournation.com/topgear/time-sabine-schmitz-tried-beat-1000-around-nurburgring-ford-transit/#:~:text=In this classic episode%2C the,Transit on its 40th anniversary.
Gomtuu
I was quite shocked to see this on the BBC this morning.
Max Headroom
I always liked her contributions to Top Gear. The Transit van and double decker car derby between U.K. and German Top Gear presenters spring to mind.  Trevor
jenko
Don't forget the time she took some "Top Gun" pilots out for a "drive" around the airfield ......... they were physically ill afterwards.   https://www.yorkpress.co.uk/leisure/showbiz/14515647.chris-evans-relieved-top-gun-pilot-threw-up-during-top-gear-challenge/   RIP   Dick
