Dansk
How about a GB focused on anything with a heavy state of weathering in it’s finishing? Could be a fun gallery to look at and exciting to see methods in progress. it could encompass a plethora of types: Boats, Cars, Aircraft, Trains, Armour, sci-fi, figures, perhaps even dioramas too. So anyone up for some dirty fun... err ... you know what I mean 🤭 1 Me 🙃 2 @Corsairfoxfouruncle 3 @Beazer 4 @TristanR 5 @Andy Moore 6 @MarkSH 7 @Tim R-T-C 8 @Adam Poultney 9 @JeroenS 10 @desert falcon 11 @Chrisj2003 12 @Marklo 13 @trickyrich 14 @reini 15 @modelling minion 16 @fmichelsen 17 @Valkyrie 18 @diases 19 @Robert Stuart 20 @Cookenbacher 21 @JOCKNEY 22 @vppelt68 23 @Ale85 24 @Dermo245 25 @arfa1983 26 @Torbjorn 27 @Stef N. 28 @IanC 29 @SoftScience 30 @bigfoot 🏁 31 @Hewy 32 @Bobby No Mac
Corsairfoxfouruncle
Im in for this one, I've had a wish/desire to do a Davis-Monthan AMARC build for years. If thats not calling for a boat load of weathering I dont know what would be ? Edited March 17, 2021 by Corsairfoxfouruncle
Beazer
I think that’s a great idea, and we can all experiment as well and watch processes. Im in.
TristanR
I like this idea. Normally i’m Talking myself out of doing to much weathering, but A group build would be a license for something deeply weathered.
Dansk
Cool fellas I’ll start a list. I’d like to learn to do something like this for this GB...
vppelt68
Do you allow "ready" models like railway freight wagons in just to get them weathered, or do they also need to be "built"?

I think we need to construct them, it should be a build. 3 hours ago, Andy Moore said: I'm definitely up for this one. Sign me up. Tim R-T-C
Hello 😁 I don't get to do much weathering on my 144th scale projects, but I'm happy to find a model I can weather up. Does graffiti count as weathering? Edited March 17, 2021 by Tim R-T-C
Adam Poultney
sounds fun - some vulcans were in a right state before finally expiring on various fire dumps (XH500, a nice B1a and one of the longest lasting ). Could do one of those

The first thing that sprang to mind was my Hasegawa 1/48 Ki84 Hayate, Japanese aircraft weathered pretty badly in many cases so plenty of scope for paint chipping, fading, staining etc. etc.

MarkSH
Yes exactly, good photo @Dansk, another potential victim is a very cheaply bought and long term stash resident Revell 1/48 F14 Tomcat, not a stellar model but it would lend itself nicely to some typical US Navy type staining and general abuse possibly giving the full Monty salt weathering treatment.
