Weathered GB - 2022 bunfight bound

Dansk

Recommended Posts

How about a GB focused on anything with a heavy state of weathering in it’s finishing?

Could be a fun gallery to look at and exciting to see methods in progress.

it could encompass a plethora of types: Boats, Cars, Aircraft, Trains, Armour, sci-fi, figures, perhaps even dioramas too.

So anyone up for some dirty fun... err ... you know what I mean 🤭

Do you allow "ready" models like railway freight wagons in just to get them weathered, or do they also need to be "built"?

I think we need to construct them, it should be a build.

Nice Andy, you’re in - any ideas for a build?

Hello 😁

I don't get to do much weathering on my 144th scale projects, but I'm happy to find a model I can weather up.

Does graffiti count as weathering?

sounds fun - some vulcans were in a right state before finally expiring on various fire dumps (XH500, a nice B1a and one of the longest lasting :(). Could do one of those

How about this one adam...

The first thing that sprang to mind was my Hasegawa 1/48 Ki84 Hayate, Japanese aircraft weathered pretty badly in many cases so plenty of scope for paint chipping, fading, staining etc. etc.

Yes exactly, good photo @Dansk, another potential victim is a very cheaply bought and long term stash resident Revell 1/48 F14 Tomcat, not a stellar model but it would lend itself nicely to some typical US Navy type staining and general abuse possibly giving the full Monty salt weathering treatment.
