Ironically he even called the A-10 as going to be a surprise release. I just have a niggling suspicion it’s going to be Tamiya. They re-tooled the Spitfire mk.1 because the old moulds were inaccurate but a guaranteed seller. Their A-10 is old, raised lines and an A. Prime real estate in the modelling world with no out of the box accurate C available. The only others I would suspect/like to be potential candidates are Eduard, GWH, AFV Club or AMK. Hasegawa have been quiet for years, Academy or Kinetic, could be possible but I would prefer the others to bite.

One 48
I hope its Tamiya, unusual for them to release two new tooled 1/48 kits in same year perhaps though? but if they dooo ... wooo hooo I'll have tooo
salomon
I don't think so, Tamiya made one aircraft per year, last release was the F-14 and so the F-4. Maybe Academy? 2

Greg B
Found on HLJ. Not sure I’ve seen Platz producing kits in 1:48 before. SAT69
Calling a rebox a new tool is marketing deception, is it not? Don't manufacturers recognize this lessens their image in customer eyes?

treker_ed
Must admit I've been wanting a decent A-10 for some time in 1/48. But most of the ones out there seem to be re-hashed A-10A's that have had extra bits added or re-moulded to make them more like the most recent version of the A-10, but would still have the analogue IP instead of the glass IP that they now have, or would be missing quite a few of the lumps and bumps on the fuselage. This is in addition to still having bumps that shouldn't be there still, or have weapons included that went out with the bathwater from the Ark when Noah threw it out over the side
