Sorry I dorget there's a factory called "Must Have", so it was confusing. I wanna say that Academy's A-10 is my much have kit of 2022.

I understood, I just couldn't miss that one because you wrote it as a proper noun.

Googled:

Forthcoming item - Academy 1/48 A-10C Thunderbolt II

There is a little bit of a good taste in the finish, but I think it can give the fans of Hyunyonggi a bit of satisfaction. I expect to see this this fall.

The multicolored parts sort of hints at a A-10A at some point, doesn't it?

All you would need is a new "old" instrument panel. A pave penny pylon and your good. all the rest of the antennas were either carried by later "A's" or they can be removed (ALE-47 sensors)

It will be most likely Academy(of course GWH will also release theirs).

Kinetic new item will be an Italian jet aircraft.

Do you know something we don’t know about GWH? 😀

Yes, GWH design is under good progress.

There will be A, A+ and C variants.

I have seen the CAD and they are quite promising with new level of surface detail and accuracy.

Lets hope they also concentrate on the raised and flush rivets

Hope so as the back end is covered in raised ones

I thought that thing hanging down off the starboard fuselage under the cockpit was the pave penny pod that wasn't used on A-10Cs?

It is and it was used on the A-10C, though I don't know if it is anymore.

Here's a couple of C's with the Pavy Penny fitted.

Here's a C with it and the mount removed.

The pave penny (AN/AAS-35V) was used pretty extensively in the 80's and 90's but it was phased out once the LITENING and Sniper targeting pods came online. Even though the Pave Penny was phased out, the pylon stayed attached to the jet until the early 2010's at which point it started getting removed altogether, leaving behind the 4 bolts just aft of the nose gear door on the foreword fuselage. So it's possible to have seen an early A-10C fitted with the Pave Penny, but it was probably inoperative at that point. If you're going to build a pre-2010 aircraft you could get away with including it in your build, but if it's a post-2010 Hawg you may want to consider deleting it.

I thought Hobbyboss will be releasing one later this year. Saw in on Scalemates.

Forget Scalemates and read Britmodeller Rumourmonger! 😉

Hobbyboss has just re-released its original A-10 kit as a A-10C. Thread is here:

Anyone know the story behind the red circle with the Raptor and Viper kills?

Not 100% sure but remember reading it was from Red Flag ? The pilot was able to get into a twisting mock dogfight in two different occasions. Supposedly beat them both to a guns use solution. Here you go.
