Not 100% sure but remember reading it was from Red Flag ? The pilot was able to get into a twisting mock dogfight in two different occasions. Supposedly beat them both to a guns use solution. Here you go.

Good for the Hog pilot, I'll believe that before believing the Raptor/Viper silhouettes were show partners.

Here are some pics of the cockpit and front fusalage. https://mmzone.co.kr/mms_tool/mt_view.php?mms_db_name=mmz_work&no=365248

Dave

Nice internal detail and while the external detail on the forward fuselage looks decent I noticed there's no engraved representation of the in-flight refuelling door :hmmm:Perhaps the decal is considered sufficient for that. On the subject of the decals; 15 different airframe options on the sheet?

Yeah the omission of the IFR detail is odd

Here is the parts layout and markings, https://mmzone.co.kr/mms_tool/mt_view.php?mms_db_name=mmz_info&no=377629  .

Dave

Thank you Dave. If the parts layout is an accurate indicator it seems both the rear fuselage and also the engine pod are large single pieces that must make use of complex multi-part molds - now I'm keen to see how well these work :)

What a warty little thing it is! Another 1/48 creation to disrupt my 1/32 schedule!

Glad it has got a Pave Penny pod as I'm more interested in a ca.1991 A-10A, but a C would be cool too.

Thanks for posting the hardware pics.

it does indeed have the PP pod, so backdating the kit means an earlier IP and vetting the antennae

Okay I'm THAT guy.

The engine fans are too far forward. Hobby Boss has same issue too. However I'm sure that there will be spectacular 3D aftermarket to make this area shine! They can make a drop fit replacement to fit into the very nice slide molded nacelles!

This kit is on my wishlist Bbbbbrrrrr! Take that! Ruskie made tanks! :mg:

The engine fan blades sit approximately 28" from the lip of the cowl ring.

So, new inlets needed then. That seems to be a common requirement for A-10 kits.

The MLG hubs might need to be bigger as well, but that's possibly just an unflattering paint job with shoeshine black rims.

Overall, looks quite nice: something one can actually enjoy building.

I'll wait to see what aftermarket can address the shape of the intakes and the whole fan assembly before I take the plunge. 3D printing works wonders now!

...or wait for what GWH will put out. GWH kits are generally on a higher price level and I don't think they will be had for 40Quid but corrected engines may put you in the GWH price range already...
