Madmonk
Question for you. has anyone tried using the car wrapping vinyl on a model car? just wondering if it is viable. Cheers, Warren
roymattblack
My car is wrapped and I have a lot of the left over vinyl they used. It is quite thin but would be far too thick for use on a model. Also, it is applied using a heat gun which would probably pretty much destroy a plastic body shell.
Redstaff
I've seen them do a couple of vans, and I would think it's too thick for a model to get the small curves TBH 🤔 Also they seemed to be applying a fair amount of pressure with the squeegee thing to smooth it out, which I think would be too much for the bodyshell, let alone the heat gun as @roymattblack has said above Ian
cmatthewbacon
It’s not a wrap as such, but you can get window tinting film samples from suppliers which work well for things like sun roofs or gold tint on an aircraft HUD. best, M.
