BritJet
This is far from being the perfect Sea Vixen kit but the options are limited until a better one comes along. I modified the nose and printed the serial numbers myself. The real aircraft is now at the FAA Museum Yeovilton and has been fitted with a standard nose. Thanks for looking. BritJet
Thanks guys. 11 hours ago, John R said: What is the story behind the shape of the nose and the colour scheme? John It was used for Martel missile trials, not sure whether the nose had a camera or was for the missile guidance. The colour scheme was probably because there was an all-white and an all-black Sea Vixen already, so this one was half and half! Could be to help with photo calibration for the missile launches. Some info here 1 hour ago, Head in the clouds. said: Nice build Steve, this is on my to do list so I know where to come for guidance.... Very easy one to do, even getting the masking tape in straight lines to look right over all the curves wasn't as bad as I thought it might be. Cheers.
