My next project is a model of my wife's moped from when she was 16  in 1986

I'm more familiar with Tamiya kits and the quality that they offer, this is on another level, a lower level.

Hopefully wont take to long to finish, made a start with a good clean up and I'm almost ready to start painting........

When i first saw this photo I thought: Wow, I've built some poor kits but never one where the die colour ran out of the plastic when washing!

If you mean the chrome, I bleached that to remove the coating.

it is of very poor quality

I’ll plod my way through it and move on. 😷

I spy an rd125lc?

Indeed you do, it was mine in 86, a mk 1 with a micron on it and the speedo would almost nudge 100 😬

that yellow wheel is my rd350LC missing a front disc, 350 had twin discs.

ive moved on since those days

I’ll try and post some pics it was in practical sports bikes magazine 18 months ago. It’s a 350 with half a tz700 top end carbon body work the black is carbon and loads of other extras. The Lc world is massive now but I’ve been a believer since the 80’s. Along with my Ducati’s.

anyway sorry for the thread hijack.

Got a bit more done, mainly painting, main body/frame bonded together and filled.

I had to fit the stand and rear wheel to join the 2 halves so plenty of masking needed for the final red coat.

its starting to look like a moped now...

I've managed to force myself back onto this and try and get it over the line.

Back in the body shop for more priming ready for the creamy plastic colour, which I think I've made to creamy.

A few more bit and piece's ready for fitting..
