Sirmar still operating?

Does anybody have information about Sirmar?

 

I sent an email on the first of the month asking about ordering info, but no response to date.

I'm fairly sure they have ceased trading but having said that......

 

If you look at the Fleetscale site there are a lot of similarities. I know in the old days there were connections/overlaps

 

I guess it depends what you are looking for HTH

Dang,  I am interested in their 1/48 BYMS hull and fittings,  but that doesn't seem to be available from Fleetscale.

A suggestion. Christian @ MTB hulls would be worth contacting.

Christian specialises in fibreglass hulls. I don't see a BYMS on there but  that's how he's built the huge range of hulls. You ask he makes.

I've had three of his hulls over the years and they have been top quality.

 

There are plenty of places now for fittings and Christian usually provides a copy of the plan

I can confirm that Sirmar is still operating as I exchanged emails with Barry Dudley yesterday to agree a bespoke order.  He only does Sirmar work at the weekends so may still be working through a backlog of earlier enquiries.  There is also a phone number 07791 440 641 at his website you could try.
