GREG DESTEC
Afternoon all! Here is my latest build, the very nice Airfix Defiant in nightfighter mode. I can heartily recommend this kit as it went together with no fuss and looks the business to boot. It is all brush painted with Revell Acrylics. I used a Yahu IP, Resin seat with harnesses, and paint masks for the canopy/turret. The aircraft is from 264 Squadron based at Biggin Hill 1940/41. TFL, Cheers Greg 39

bryanm
Excellent - great rendition of one of Airfix's very best. Good to see someone else using a hairy stick as well - I've never tried brushing acrylics so maybe will experiment sometime.

Other than that a great build.
PlaStix
Hi Greg. I hope you are keeping well. Sorry - I missed this the first time round.....spending too much time down in the GB section. You have produced an absolutely superb Defiant! Very impressive paintwork and finish! Very well done. Kind regards, Stix
Solvent Parrot
Very nice. Looks good in nightfighter colours (may be bias as I've not long built the Airfix 1/72 kit of the Defiant in nightfighter mode 😁). Interestingly the 1/72 practically falls together too.

Yes, close ups of the Defiant show a much more "busy" surface with rivets. Its a bit sad that Airfix did not include them but otherwise its looking really tasty in the box. Before i start it i should clear my bench a bit. Cheers Bernd
