René Martínez
A base coat of Sea Blue with some decoloration and marbling with some medium blue. Followed by lighter tones of blue to create more contrast using bright blue. After a mix with royal blue with few drops of sea blue I got the color I wanted, using water, I moisten the surface to reveal the metallic paint previously applied. And finally Painted the tip pf the wings and tail with white, I am ready to apply a gloss coat.

I'm glad you're liking the model so far, I even think I went a little too heavy with the chipping, but at least it doesn't look too bad.
René Martínez
Well, Gloss coat applied. I used Future, now rebranded as Pledge floor polish, I applied 6 to 7 coats with an airbrush at 60psi, drying it with a blower on each one to get this high gloss effect. Ready for decals! René Martínez
Decals Finished!!! I have to do some fixes because of the transparent decal paper, color decals are not as opaque as I would like.

mark.au
That looks superb! By the way, you've given me hope that one day I can do this Lancaster... This is a project I've long wanted to do but couldn't come up with a way to make the markings.

Jackson Duvalier
Cool project, Rene-- a definite standout. Have you ever seen the photos of bombers signed by all the production plant crew? It'd make a unique model but that way lies madness.

René Martínez
Exhaust smoke and matt varnish coat applied, I have used Vallejo and Tamiya matt varnishes, but this is one is by far the best I have used. I haven't build any big bombers because I don't have enough space, I have a Revell B-17 waiting in line, but I still have nowhere to put it once finished. No doubts it can make an outstanding model, those signatures and unique things make the kit pop!

René Martínez
Canopy unmasked, antenna made with EZ Line, and wings glued with insane amounts of CA glue... The only things left to do is finish up all the position lights, Paint the wheels and paint the hub of the propeller. 10
