Cyber-Hobby 1/72 Sea Venom FAW.21

Recommended Posts

Looks like she is coming together quite nicely albeit with a fight.

Control columns, a pain at times, it has happened to me a few times.

I did the same as you but used brass rod with a bit of brass tube lightly crimped in place to replicate the handle.

Stay safe mate.

Simon.

Thanks Simon,

I'll keep that tucked away for future reference.

The cockpit wash duly given a light was, a dry brush and fitted to the fuselage.

Top part of fuselage fitted , glued and  clamped.

Methinks some filler and sanding will be required.

Now you see it.

Now you don't.

And finally I glued the wings together and added the PE.

That'll be it for tonight.

I'm off on the Night Shift again.

More tomorrow?

Thanks for looking,

Cheers,

Crikey you are progressing very quickly and looking good Alistair.

Chris

Thanks,

It'll be slowing down for the next week. Not a lot of time off work as we have three off on annual leave.

That's not a bad idea Simon , uh oh she's standing looking at me in a menacing way in her pinnie, hitting the rolling pin against her hand saying Simon said what!!!

Wow! With detail painting like that, I don’t think anyone’s going to notice the extra wingspan. Looks super.

Adrian

Many thanks you are too kind.

Not much to report.

I masked and fitted the canopy, remembering to replace the Ejector Seat Firing Loop that I'd knocked off.

Some Tamiya Nato Black sprayed on to the canopy and used to check the seams.

The canopy need a wee blend and there's still seam work to be done.

On with the Mr. Surfacer.

Thanks for looking,

You will soon get it sorted Alistair.

Steady work .

Simon.

Cheers Simon,

Playing it canny, I've only got today off work until a week on Wednesday, so am distracting myself as much as possible so I don't try to do too much and make a right mess of it.

Cheers,

Alistair

Hi Alistair,

This is coming along very nicely!

I'm quite taken with the SNCAC Aquilon version in Aeronavale markings. Oh dear, another one to go to zee list

Great work Alistair,  it certainly is coming along.  I have the old Frog kit in the stash with a load of PE i keep  promising  myself i will do , but the Matchbox 32nd one may get done before that one.

Chris

Thanks Chris,

Based on the work you're doing on the Ventura I'm sure you'll make a cracking job of it.

Cheers,

Alistair

Looks like you’re making a splendid start. I bought this kit on the same day I was offered the 1/32 Matchbox one that I built instead. Looking forward to seeing it come together. The engine looked great, are you making that rear panel removable?

I’ll tag along if I may.

Thanks very much Johnny,

You're more than welcome aboard.

The rear panel will be and is now glued down. The fit wasn't the best.

Cheers,

Alistair
