AliGauld
After the disaster that was my Mustang I'm going for something completely different. This will be an OOB build. So let's see how this one goes. Quite fancying the Suez beastie. I will make a start later on. Thanks for looking, Cheers, Alistair

Now that I've cut plastic things will move on. Thanks for looking, Cheers, Alistair

Cheers, Alistair I know how you feel Alistair, a while ago I had an accident with a bottle of primer, luckily no traumatic but enough to come up with this idea. All my thinners/solvents stored in an old shortbread tin. Sad I know, but the labeling helps an old *art like me LOL. Simon.

Brandy
But it's not the storing that's the problem. It's when you take it OUT of the storage area that it gets knocked over! Ian
Duncan B
I'm not sure how bothered you are about accuracy but the wingspan on this is off to the tune of the width of the tip tanks. If I remember correctly the fix is to shorten the wing by that amount and then reattach the tanks which sounds simple enough but I think some rescribing will be required too. I have one in the stash so will be following along with interest. Duncan B 1

Some things I would do everything that was needed but others....... You're more than welcome aboard. Cheers, Alistair

AliGauld
I did a bit more last night and primed some bits. Today the metallics were sprayed a little. Paints used were Xtreme Metals Aluminium, Steel, Burnt Metal and Jet Exhaust. Then I broke out the Colourcoats Light Admiralty Grey. And some Nato Black. That's all for now, Thanks for looking, Cheers, Alistair
bigbadbadge
Excellent, it's got Sea in front of it and EDSG on it so I am in. Great start , I have not seen one of these kits built, although have heard about some errors such as span, top of fuselage shape , but being a modern kit I imagine should go together okay. Good luck Chris

I like the exhaust - very effective Thanks Ced, None if it will be seen of course. Tried a dry fit of engine to fuselage last night and nothing fits. Had to shorten the middle of the engine, sand down the intake tops and lop off the location pins. The fuselage will now close with a bit of persuasion. As I said nothing will be seen anyway. AliGauld
So, here is the truncated engine in place. I then did some work on the Ejector Seats, The IP was stickered last night and some Krystal Klear was placed over the dials this morning. It's still drying. Last night the control column pinged off into that paradise that all lost pieces wend their way to and so I just bent a piece of brass tube and stuck that in. It probably won't be seen anyway. I put a piece of masking tape on to simulate the handle but it doesn't appear to like paint much so will use some of the boy's green stuff putty when he's using it later today and fashion one from that. Once everything is dry I'll give the cockpit a light dry brush and wash and it'll be time to start sticking bits together. Thanks for looking, Cheers, Alistair
