Sopwith Triplane Revell 1/72

Recommended Posts

My first completion of 2021.  Revel 1/72 Sopwith Triplane (mainly) OOB.  Rigged with EZline..

Really enjoyed this little kit as a departure from my main theme of Royal Navy Aces (ooops)...

Sopwith Triplane N5493

8 Squadron Royal Naval Air Service

Saint Eloi, Nord Pas De Calais

July 1917

Flight Lieutenant Robert A Little

That s great  rarely see the tri plane built and you have done a fine job on yours. Two wings usually puts a lot of people off but three would be a nightmare for some.  well done for building it  :goodjob:

TBH Keith Revell make it easy, the interplane struts are a one piece.  That said it all has to line up.

Great work on your Tripehound including the rigging - not easy with this ancient and crude kit actually.

Love the the base work - sets your model off very nicely

Regards

Not sure, but I think this kit is quite an old (and rather simplified) one.

However, your excellent build indicates you can produce a gem from very basic beginnings.

I'm in awe!  😮😎

I've just has a chance to look at this on a decent sized monitor & wow, I'm impressed, close up photos too & it still looks good. 👍

Steve.

Thanks Steve.  I should really have got the camera out rather than dumping it on the kitchen table and using my phone..
