DaveJL Posted March 7, 2021 Share Posted March 7, 2021 Hello all, Here is my recently completed 1/48 Airfix Jaguar GR.3, marked as GR.1A XX725 'Johnny Fart Pants' of the Jaguar detachment operating out of Muharraq, Bahrain during Op Granby in 1991. The build thread is here. During the course of the build I found out that this Jaguar was flown by Flt Lt Stephen Shutt, who was a member of this forum. He sadly passed away in 2008 in a light aircraft crash. This build is dedicated to him. Extras used included the wonderful Neomega cockpit set, Eduard etch, Eduard Canopy mask, Phase Hangar Resin corrected intakes and wheels, Master brass Pitot tube and Model Alliance decals. The AIM-9s are from a Tamiya F-16 whilst the bombs are from an unknown source. Paint is from MRP and the worn look was achieved using the 'hairspray technique' over a coat of Dark Green, dry brushing and a mixture of Abteilung oils.
