Yes, this airframe transited through Duxford between 1973 and 1976 sitting waiting for a replacement No3 engine. Kermit has a few facts wrong. I did email him with more info and corrections. Not even as much as an acknowledgement!

Ex RAF and Indian Air Force. Totally original inside. Look for the 'broomhandle' .50s in the front turret, held in place with Mole Grips.

He would have you believe it came from India and sat at DX with fully functioning M2s for 3 years. It didn't. The barrel holes in the turrets had circular plates pop rivetted over them prior to arrival. DX did the return to flight status and repaint, with the proper nose art, not the phony 'Joe' it carries.
