I want to build it! The list of pilots killed and taken POW is a wonderful touch. Also the first (3/4) imaged makes me think it's what an A-10 would've looked like in Vietnam.

Fabulous! Well, it seems I need to order another Hasegawa Hog... 😎

Which reminds me, I'm overdue flogging a dead horse: what's the best 1/72 kit to represent this A-10C? I'm optimistically thinking decals won't be far off...

There's an old discussion about that here:

Personally, I like both Hasegawa and Italeri, but after building them both I still think Hasegawa´s Hog does the part better than Italeri's, IMHO

and the F-16 as well :)

interesting scheme, I like it!

I got all excited about this but looking at the link it is 48th scale, I do so hope there will be a 1/72 version @CaracalModels Pretty please. :)

Looked on the website but couldn't see anything on the 1/72 page. :(

I haven't seen Caracal's instructions, yet, but note that the A-10 has FS 34092 instead of FS 34079 for the dark green. The squadron with the F-16C in SEA camo got it right and used 34079. That said, the A-10 looks right in SEA camouflage! I think it was originally planned to be painted in those colors when it entered service.

Too emerald/ turquoise, no?

Looks a bit like the old green A-10 green!

(Sorry, I am not an FS code specialist...)

@CaracalModelshas said just now on hs page on ARC that there will be no seperate sheet in 1/72 for these 2 aircraft, but they will be included in a future A-10 and F-16 1/72 sheet.

I think there are a couple that are really nicely pulled off. But I do agree that many of them are just.. eh. I understand what they are trying to do but I think there are times when they missed an opportunity to  update the designs to fit the modern aircraft and still keep the vintage spirit. I would love to see if somebody could pull off the paint scheme for the P-51 “big beautiful doll” into an F-16 or F-15.

As much as Im an A-10 fan I dont really like this one.

A lot of the US Special schemes of late have not been terribly good.

I fully agree with your second statement. :(

the Liberty wing specials e.g..... maybe the gunship grey C model was somehow interesting...

But those two SEA birds look good to me!

I did like the C. I was lucky enough to shoot it in 2019
