Not much done today.

Stencils done on the Mustang. That's what took the time.

I sorted the decals on the prop. :banghead: and then built the spinner assembly.

This has been given a satin coat.

Washes done to the undercarriage and wheel, knocking back the brightness and dirtying them up a bit.

The final fiddly bits have been started.

Once the zinc chromate green is dry I'll get some polished aluminium on the other side.

The main undercarriage doors should be done but we'll see when I get then off the blue tac.

I've started work on the exhausts but the Camera Battery is now charging so more later, perhaps.

Thanks for looking,

Cheers,

Alistair

Hi Alistair,

The Schwalbe is looking brilliant and the Mustang looks absolutely incredible! The NMF is beautiful. I'm really quite jealous ;)

Cheers,

Mark

Thanks Mark,

Now you know how I feel watching your builds. ;).

The Xtreme Metals are quite remarkable paints.

Once I'd learned that they need about 20 PSI and that they don't look that great on application but after a couple of hours they settle in beautifully I was sold on them.

Alistair

They both look rather splendid Alistair,  great work on them both, the 262 looks great fella and nearly done on the Mustang too.  What's up next??? Sorry cheeky I know!!!

Chris

Thanks Chris,

Nearly there.

What's next, well, it's something a bit more personal from my 6 years in Leuchars Box or more truthfully from my times changing the lamps in the Up Section Signal.

I don't want to tempt fate yet so more on that later. :wicked:

Alistair

That's brilliant, Alistair, thanks! I think I'll have to try the Xtreme Metals range when I get my compressor sorted out.

I think you're being a bit too kind about my builds, my friend - I aim high, but.....

Mark
