A very adventurous flying era of modeling without end:

America post 1918

 

The pilots who were enthusiastic about flying in the USA immediately after 1918.

They flew on airshows with the old machines, which were often overhauled several times.

Or did performances at local shows. There are also films about it.

Wing walking, stunts, races etc.

You can use almost any machine from the First World War. Paint this just funny.

Maybe someone will find unpublished pictures.

Or images from the aircraft of Howard Hughes. Who made the famous film. Hells Angels.

That would be a completely different idea for modeling, apart from the strict military paintwork.
