FrancisGL
Hi WYATT, The Calliope is a beautiful model, very curious, I remember having made a pair as a child, but at 1/72, from ESCI, and the most surprising thing is that it included transmission, engine compartment, and ground in the place where the turret, someone Now with skill and a scratch, I could have gotten a great performance ... even if I never managed to get the rocket battery, it will stay in place in the turret, the instructions were basic at least, my skill was not that of now, the glue CA "did not exist" ... at least I did not know it ... lol, and maybe there was some endemic mounting error in the kit, that I was not able to overcome ... I really like how the battery has been on the turret, and all the equipment behind it. The sand bags are from the kit, or added by you? A suggestion regarding them, I can be wrong, but they should not be matt? If so, it is very easy to correct, like some of the fabrics that carries as equipment. Interesting what you say about your new technique. Cheers and TC Francis.👍

The new fixing probably isn't new but I mixed the pigments with water an some pva glue and it allows abit time to move it around and build layers if you need it for crusty mud lol

WYATT
Tamiya 1/35 SAS Jeep, this was completed as a "recon" jeep in NWE based somewhat on the SAS jeeps and also the cut away airborne jeeps that basically were festooned with gubbins and stowage and also a number of different weapons, but this one is armed with the M2 .50cal. sanfrandragon
Wow that’s some collection! I especially like the 432, Challenger 1, the Tilly because it’s completely different and the 25lb er and quad. The ground work on the diorama bases also looks great.

WYATT
9 hours ago, s.e.charles said: never saw that livery. yours or historical prototype? thanks It's accurate, as I did some digging that vehicles that had access to the airfield or to move over the airfield had to have yellow roofs/tops of tankers etc, this was done on a update in 41/42 from what I have read however not all vehicles had this done, so it's one I have not seen but it is possible. Bertie McBoatface
Well I see now why you didn’t do individual topics! What a lovely lot of heavy metal. My fave would be the SAS jeep. I think the weathering on that one stands out. (I’m viewing on my phone so I can’t see the pics very well btw). I noticed that some of the collection are muddy up to their waists and clean above with quite a distinct division while the splashed all over jeep looks to me more authentic. Your construction looks really well done. I’m still struggling with tracks. They don’t seem to be a problem for you. thanks for the show.

When I have taken my vehicle's and been in vehicles off road they very rarely covered top to bottom in muck and mud, there is a decent division between filthy and relatively clean lol That is until you climb (read fall) out over the side and drag mud in, the main difference is dust, dust get everywhere inside and out. Alot are built out of the box, with some gubbins and stowage added out of the bits box, tracks are just a case of treating them like there own step
