85sqn
Hi Everyone, thia is my latest build. The Airfix 1/48 Sea Fury built as a Pakistan Air Force, Fury FB.60. Apparently the aircraft was originally delivered by Johnnie Johnson. It was built with Eduard belts, Aeroclub cowling and it suffered from the short shot tail. I riveted the aircraft and it was sprayed with Colourcoats enamels. I really enjoyed the build and despite being a massive FAA fan, decided the desert scheme was the one to go for on this aircraft. Decals are by Barracuda. Slightly annoying that Airfix didn't include a P-type compass and a gunsight but oh well. Please enjoy, comments all welcome.
Troy Smith
pics not showing, but when I cut and posted the flickr link.... the above showed. Very neat. I had plans to a PAF target tow, like the baobe but with winch on one wing and black/yellow striped undersides.

Cheers @Troy Smith they looked like plain text, but when I posted one in, the pic showed, I then cut and pasted the block of links, they did not, but when I hit enter between the lines, they showed. I have edited out all but one of the pics to save threads clutter now. I think the PAF planes, like the Iraqi, were just plain Fury, as they had been de navalised. Shame Airfix have got better at their procurement and sales, as now you don't find their kits being punted out at half price after a couple of years, which allowed you to stock up for projects (I still have a stack of the Hobbycraft as well) cheers T
85sqn
Nice one Troy. Yes I agree they are just 'Furies'. This particular one was built as a Sea Fury but diverted to PAF stocks. Before it left it was de-navalised making them FB60's. The FAA serial is mentioned on the decal sheet, I'll have to dig it out.

Harold55
The Sea Fury is one of my favorite aircraft and you have done an amazing job. The scheme looks fantastic, excellent paint job. I think I need to start looking for this kit for myself as I only have the one old Hobbycraft on the shelf.
