ForestFan
Hi all, here's the first of 2021. It is the Sword kit straight from the box except Eduard etch ejection seat handles and scratch built pitot. Nice kit though not for the complete novice, and the decals are so thin they are very difficult to move once placed. Anyway thanks for looking 20210214_152721 by bryn robinson, on Flickr 20210214_152731 by bryn robinson, on Flickr 20210214_152744 by bryn robinson, on Flickr 20210214_152803 by bryn robinson, on Flickr 20210214_152832 by bryn robinson, on Flickr 20210214_153227 by bryn robinson, on Flickr

Dennis_C
Hi, Nice Thunderflash! In this scheme it's easy to imagine it in RAF 50-60s colours too How was the fit especially of the transparencies? Sword kits are not always straightforward in that area.
Pete in a shed
A favourite aeroplane of mine, that's a lovely job Bryn. There were lots of schemes for it but I particularly like the Norwegian offering. Pete

Learstang
Excellent job on that Thunderflash! I have this kit, which I intend to build as a French Suez machine. I hope mine comes out nearly as nicely! Regards, Jason

Vingtor
Very nice model, Bryn My only criticism is not to you, but to the manufacturer. The white outer ring on the wing roundels seems to be a bit too wide. The white ring should be 50mm, independent of the roundel diameter. Many decal manufacturers have not got this right.... When the Norwegian Thunderflashes were camouflaged, they were initially painted NATO PRU Blue on the undersides. This was eventually painted over with Aluminuim. Nils PS. Look out for an article on Norwegian RF-84F operations in the next (April?) issue of The Aviation Hostorian. 72modeler
Very nice Thunderflash! I agree with Pete that the Norwegian scheme and markings are very handsome; I also like the RNethAF schemes. Well done. Mike

Thanks, the windows need a bit of adjusting, I should’ve taken a bit more time with mine. My rule with Sword kits - checking canopy fit is the step zero While any other fit issue can be dealt with, too wide canopy or canopy parts not matching each other are bigger troubles.
Sky Keg
This is a great accomplishment considering Sword kits are very tricky to assemble. Your skills, patience, and attention to detail shine bright with this RF-84. Mike
