Tom W.
Hello, I present the M48A3 Patton model from Dragon. Added the mantlet and searchlight set from Legend, PE parts from Eduard, AFV Club tracks and machine guns from Aber. Painted Tamiya Olive Green on B&W base. Enjoy watching and I hope you will like it. 27

FrancisGL
Hi Tom, stunning model, very well finished, It looks like a real piece of metal! ... I love the cast of the tower, I also have one of these in the forum, although Marine version, and I would probably try to do a lot of what you have achieved, because it was one of my first kits around the hobby. Cheers and TC Francis.👍

Harry Callahan
Very impressive model Tom, great idea to use the B&W technique by Jose Louis Ruiz, it comes very well through. And nicely photographed also.
Ernst
Beautiful model. The B&W adds a lot of depth to the finish. Great work. Cheers, Ernst.

edjbartos
That's a beautifully finished model Tom, lovely paintwork and the weathering is excellent. Also nice additions that you have made in the way of stowage , it really does add so much to the overall look of the model. Well done...

Blanketyblank
That’s very nice. I am currently building the old tamiya M48A3 and have also bought the legend mantlet and searchlight kit. I am concerned about the weight of the resin searchlight and the rather flimsy and vague looking attachments. I would be more than happy if my patton turned out like yours 😃

The Tamiya turret looks completely different here, so be careful when you cut it. You will probably need to put a lot of putty on this spot. Don't worry about the weight of the searchlight. CA glue will hold it in place without any problem. Edited February 19, 2021 by Tom W.
Blanketyblank
That’s good advice. Thanks I am currently working on the set of Bronco tracks I got for it. Given the amount of parts they have, at the rate I work at it might be the summer before I am getting near the turret.
