Lex77
Hi, With the F-14 finished it is now time to enter this GB with a 1/48 Hobbyboss A-6E. Will be using an Eduard PE set and mask; Also got some hypersonic models extras but I'm not sure if i will be using them on this build; Edited March 31, 2021 by Lex77
Benner
Cool, I need to get one of these to finish my USS Kennedy Desert Storm collection. The price of the kits these days has kinda held me back a bit. soon though!
Lex77
Got some work done on the Intruder, most of the cockpit PE is attached and changed some of the Eduard grey in the right grey.
Jabba
Welcome along and nice start with the cockpit.
dnl42
Nice! looking forward to seeing this built. I actually pulled this kit out yesterday, with Flying Leatherneck masks and the same Hypersonic resin, but figured there's no way I could have finished in time.
desert falcon
Those cockpit panels are looking really sharp !!
exdraken
You are on a run currently! Wow, looks great! The intruder is a strange plane for me, because although an important Navy asset, it hardly ever gets the attention. Maybe also because it was retired before I was into jets....
Lex77
Had some time on the bench and spent most of it sanding the A-6. What a difference from the Kinetic F-104 and Tamiya F-14 I build before this one! I think I know why most people build them with the nosecone open; Some filler; Some more sanding to come.....
Jabba
That is an awful gap around the nose cone. I think that he problem is that is designed to be in the open position, not closed so that is why the fit is so bad. Would have thought that it would have been better the other way around.
Lex77
Did some more work on this one. A lot of sanding but I think it is ready for primer;
Jabba
Coming together very well, pity about the filler on such a modern kit.

Lex77
Was working on the ammunition an noticed this; Manual; Reality; No way I can use them without changing the attachment holes. Don't feel like doing so, probably will change the ammunition carried. 1
