The decals as well as being about as flexible as a plank of wood as also not the correct size

Note the gap between the tail decal and the stripes

 

So this was filled with some spare decal of the same colour that is on the decal sheet.

@JWM these are the decals I used for the stripes, which behaved impeccably

I like that a lot, very striking. I do like them Vichy stripes. I was about to compliment you on your masking when I saw those decals, they look like a great solution.

First time I've tried decals rather than masking and I'm absolutely delighted with the results. 

I found cutting the decals down the middle made then the right size and also being in Scotland you get your monies worth !

They are really thin and a pleasure to work with.  With other Vichy projects planned for the future this is definitely the way to go.
