Help / Inspiration required! New model workshop...

Hi,

 

I'm asking you for some inspiration or advice for the setup of my new modelling workshop and office space.

I would like to move all modelling and resin casting to standing desk height of ca. 120cm but I'm having difficulty finding suitable arrangements for all the small tool and parts storage that usually go around and above the work bench.

I also would like to arrange the main bench in the centre of the room, accessible from both sides, a bit like a woodworking shop.

That would give me more serious storage area around the outer walls. 

Undecided about the height of the air brush station though, I currently have it at 90cm which is OK, but perhaps having it at the same height of 120cm would be better...

 

I currently have my main work table at 110cm but it's immensely cluttered from multiple projects as well as countless tools and supplies scattered around which i constantly need but have no real place to put them, except into their drawers which are out of reach.

 

Has anyone worked in a workshop with standing benches/desks? Any pointers, ideas?

I can't really answer your question, but I'd love to see your solution!

 

There are websites and forums devoted to people setting up art studios, garages and workshops - they may have some ideas you can adapt?
