Biggles87
I'm sure I've seen a discussion about this recently but can't find it. I have an old Hasegawa sheet on which the carrier film has become ' dirty ' and would like to clean it if possible. Can anyone offer any suggestions, or point me in the right direction if a thread already exists? Thanks in advance. Stay safe everyone. spruecutter96
Hi, John. I would recommend using a can of Foam Cleaner (AKA Hard Surface Cleaner). This is essentially a foaming, mild-detergent cleaning spray. Don't spray it directly on to the decals. Instead, put a SMALL amount of a bit of kitchen-towel and very lightly wipe the decals down. Start small and build the wetness up if you really need to. If the decal sheet starts to buckle, don't worry, it should be fine once it's dried out. This spray is around £5 or 6 on E-Bay. Once you have a can, I think you'll be surprised how useful it is around the house. I've been using it for years. Hope this helps. Chris. Robert
I would suggest a hard rubber eraser, no liquids involved. Regards Robert
Biggles87
Thanks guys, it’s a big sheet and I only need about 30% of it so I’ll try out both methods on some unwanted items. John
