Spiny
When the paint creeps under the masking tape, my usual way to sort it out is to wet a wooden cocktail stick (which softens it slightly) then scrape off the bit which has gone under. Then again, that's usually with acrylic paint which is softer than the clear coat so this is a method to use with caution.
Fnick
Thanks Spiny. I'll try that one out (with caution!) Nick
Fnick
Used with caution and a toothpick dipped in X20 acrylic thinner. Works a treat. Just a gentle rubbing and the paint eventually comes off. You can get very close to the painted areas without too much worry of removing more than you want as long as you are careful. Thanks again for the tip @Spiny! 🙂
Spiny
Glad it helped. Really good news that you got it sorted.
Fnick
Evening all Calling this one done! Yeah! A few pics taken outside before the British summer decides to call it a day. Build post mortem to come later (it wasn't plain sailing...!) I'm waiting for a background from coastal kits. Once I get it I'll create an RFI. Thanks for looking. keefr22
Very nice result Nick, even more so given the trials and tribulations you had with it! Good work! Keith
Fnick
Thanks Keith! A small correction needs to be made to the "it's finished" statement... I completely forgot to add the Honda badges and prelude decal before taking the pics...☺️ This is now done. So now it is really finished.🙃 Nick 1

Fnick
Evening all Yeah coastal kits background finally turned up today! (Along with more paints for the next project, bare metal chrome foil and embossing powder..😄.). Just a single pic. Hopefully I can find some time to get the DSLR out and take some (hopefully!) decent photos. Thanks for looking, Nick

Fnick
Thanks for the comments gents. Pondering whether to get some gravel and moss to make the road a bit more 3d. Looks a bit to flat at the mo...🤔 Nick
