Porsche_935
£1000 is a lot of money when a detail set from ScaleLab_24 is already available on the market. The detail set costs 1/5th of Scale Motorsport.

There is a good review on their Facebook page: facebook.com/scalelab24. The detail set covers each section of the model including items which are not found in Scale Motorsport's. Matt Crane
Thank you. Is there more in depth review on FB? I might get the SL_24 934 kit first, as I have SMS 935 kits.

Sabrejet
So for the price of an 1/12 MFH kit I could get a detail set instead? I can't see many people rushing to their PayPal accounts.
Matt Crane
There is no need for that many people. Just 525 kits will be produced.
Sabrejet
...up to 525 kits. I wouldn't hold my breath to reach 100, let alone 525! I also suspect that with MFH releasing a 1/43 kit of the car, there may well be a larger version in the offing. At which point Scale Motorsport will struggle to sell any. Good luck to them, but it just doesn't look like something with legs.
Matt Crane
Are you referring to 1/43 K770/K771 911 Carrera RSR Turbo? That’s completely different car, 1974 LeMans version. I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for MFH 1/12 935/76.
Sabrejet
Matti, I realise you have a business to run, but I'm just trying to demonstrate how niche this will be. Look at MFH's catalogue by the way - they already do an RSR, a 936 and a Moby Dick in 1/12...

I don't have any financial or other connection with any model or after market design or manufacturing businesses. I'm just a happy customer, I have bought two SMS 935 Super Detail Sets years ago. Admiral Puff
On a related topic - I have one of the original Tamiya issue kits. It has the Valliant markings. Tamiya decals being what they are, I don't know how well the kit sheet has survived the years. Are there any replacement sheets out there? Not worried about which set of markings, I'd just like a sheet that I know won't shatter into a million bits when it hits the water!
Coors54
@Admiral Puff best place is in your neck of the woods http://www.pattosplace.com/decalsP.html Find the Porsche 934 section and take your pick. Or try Indycals https://www.indycals.net/decals/lemans/79lois934.html or https://www.bestbalsakits.com/tamiya/tamiya.asp?man=37 Enjoy! Admiral Puff
Bewdy! Thanks, Dave - I should be able to find something in that lot. EDIT: I did indeed! I ended up getting the Indycals Louis Jeans sheet.
