This information was just released on the Facebook page of Pilot Replicas.

Not only is the SAAB J 29B and the SAAB 105 SK 60-trainer in production...

The Vampire trainer came out of nowhere!

That’s interesting news.

After years of waiting we’re now going to get, hopefully, the new Airfix single seater and this one.

Great news.

Hopefully we will get the venom two seaters.....🙏

De Havilland (Sea) Venom were, once upon a time (in 2016), in the Pilot Replicas projects. Fingers crossed.

This new Vampire will replace the Classic Airframes 1/48th Vampire Trainer & Night Flight kits.

Not being familiar with this brand, I went to the internet and found they produce plastic, not resin, kits. This is an interesting choice they've made and I'm looking forward to seeing how this develops.

A great choice by Pilot-Replicas. Used by many more RAF units than had Vampires as fighters, then a huge number of overseas operators. The decal options for this are almost beyond number.

The number of those Airfix slips we filled out have brought forth what we hoped but not from where we thought.

And I just as of yesterday had a look through my Aeroclub two seater Vampire contemplating if I should build it.

I may wait with that now.

Looking forward to this, the early Tunnan and the SK105, BUT just remember these will more than likely be in the £50-£60.00 price range, based on the kits that are currently available from Pilot Replica’s. So just hope we do not have too many complaints at that price when it becomes official. The Clear Prop Skyshark is at that price and quite a few are complaining at that price.
We need to realise that the smaller injection moulded companies doing more unique and specialised aircraft kits just cannot try and compete with the larger guys and produce these kits at the £30.00 -£40.00 price range, so if we want more of these type kits then I think we WILL just have to dig deep into our pockets, OR maybe just buy what you can afford. If you really want something, then you will save up to get what you want, maybe less, but maybe better quality and more unique. The choice is yours.

Cutting to the chase, where and who does one apply to to buy one of their kits? Anyone know?

Directly from Pilot Replicas works well.

https://www.pilot-replicas.com/

Or, they are available to get from most mayor retailers.

I have found that it is better to purchase from a local U.K. supplier, when the Tunnan was first released I bought one direct, and found it worked out a little more than buying it locally. I have a feeling with all the new rulings that may be even more the case, BUT WHO KNOWS..... also it may take a little longer to get here than ordering direct from Pilot, but the kits are great, not perfect, but good.
