Tiger II (Revell 1/72) Tracks Problem

In the heat of the moment I think I might have over-reacted. Seeing the blobs of paint all over my desk, computer, monitor and several part-builds (T34, Jagdpanzer IV and the Tiger ) was a bit lot disconcerting.

Looking at the kits today in the cold light of day I think the damage might be repairable with a little judicious sanding and hairy-sticking.

Operations now transferred back to the man-cave so limited to warmer weather.

Glad you've seen a way back. A few grime and oil washes and some mud will knock that back.

I noticed the other day that there was a significant step in the offside track where it drops from the sprocket to the first roadwheel. I think it arrived when I "repaired" the track after it responded to gravity and a short length parted company with the rest.

I stuck it back on but, it seems, not very well.

Fortunately it came off successfully.

And, after a few attempts, went back on again a little more tidily.

The underside is still a little uneven but some "mud" in the gaps will hide it reasonably well.

Looks a bit better now, maybe?

 A little progress

I started weathering....................

Just a light wash of Humbrol 63 Ochre. The cam pattern is toned down a bit. I should, of course, have added the tools and tow cables before the wash but that will hopefully be remedied later.

Thanks @Stef N. for your comment. Thanks too for your backup earlier in this thread. Things got a bit fraught with this build - at several points in the process.
