Popular Post russ c
Hi Everyone, hope you don`t mind if I bother you with some photo`s of my latest completion My attempt at making a USAF A-7D from Hasegawa`s 1/48 US Navy A-7E kit Finished to represent an A-7D based in Thailand during the SEA Conflict Apart from scratch building an Air Force style refuelling point, reshaping the fairing below the rudder and deleting a few aerials..... the kit`s mostly from the box. Cluster bombs are Hasegawa items from the spares box, usual dodgy home made seat belts....... ..and decals came from Furball`s `Man-Eater Sluffs` sheet 48-016 Was really torn between doing this one and the infamous `Molar Marauder` which is on the sheet, Maybe next time....... Hope you enjoy the pic`s, thanks for looking Cheers Russ 86

Gary Brantley
Man, you're just knocking out one beauty after another Russ! (what's your secret for such a rapid completion rate? I'm in awe!) That bird looks fantastic; I really admire your restrained weathering techniques; I find that it only enhances the realism you achieve with your models. Truly, you're one of the masterful modelers here sir! Keep 'em comin' Russ! 😃

Keep 'em comin' Russ! 😃 Thanks very much Gary, Working nights every other week helps as I can do the filling and rubbing down whilst waiting for tea to cook, also I normally have three on the go at any one time all in different stages of construction which stops me painting my self into a corner and having to finish for the day. I actually started this one back in November so it`s not been that quick.🙂 Thanks again, cheers Russ
binbrook87
What a fantastic SLUF! I love everything about it...but the paintwork and subtle weathering you've achieved are sublime. 👍
Gary Brantley
Russ, the white edging around the canopy, painted or decal, or? And regarding the paintwork here, do I recall that you are a brush-painting guy? I may be mistaken, but if so, then all the more impressive. 😃

Yeah it`s all hairy sticked. Cheers Russ
