Bandai Star Wars wishlist 🤔

Recommended Posts

I think most agree that Bandai Star Wars kits are pretty decent.....but is there anything you wished they produced???

Mine are:

1/72 or 1/48 Shuttle Tydirium

1/72 U-Wing from Rogue One

1/48 Y-Wing

1/48 Folding TIE Fighter from The Mandalorian

1/48 Kylo Ren's TIE Fighter from RoS

Figure sets to go with the 144th scale vehicles - a pack of stormtroopers would be perfect.

That's a good shout. I've used some of the Legion game stormtroopers for 1/72 scale. I think they're 1/76 scale but don't look out of place at all. 1/144 is a but trickier.

Seconded for the Tydirium (Lambda-class) shuttle in 1/72. I'd also buy the U-Wing  though not a high priority.

Also in 1/72:

- TIE Bomber

- A-Wing (in "real" 1/72, the Bandai kit is closer to 1/48)

- Snowspeeder

- Clone Wars Y-Wing (the 'covered' version; a resin kit of this type advertised as 1/72 was closer to 1/87)

- TIE Brute (seen briefly in Solo)

- TIE Defender/Defender Elite

- AT-ST

And not remotely likely as a mainstream or resin kit in this scale, but I'd love a 1/72 version of The Ghost (VCX-100)

Somewhere in the 1/2700 - 1/2256 scale range it'd be great to have Home One (Mon Cal mother ship from ROTJ), the Imperial Light Cruiser (seen in Rebels and recently in The Mandalorian), and a Quasar Fire-class carrier (canon appearance in Rebels, with several prior in "Legends")

That makes two of us, and I would add the different version of the AT-ST from Rebels with the larger single main gun and elongated head. If not Im going to scratch build it with my next AT-ST build. Figures in 1/48, 1/72, & 1/144 would definitely be a plus. And a dream would be 1/144 or 1/200, 1/350 blockade runner, Republic light cruiser, or Hammerhead corvette ?

EDIT: This is the Republic light cruiser Im referring to.

I case you guys didn't know, Round2 now has a  licence for Star Wars!

Maybe so, but Bandai kits are many light years ahead of what Round 2 is actually capable of producing in model form.

Neither Round2 not Bandai but when I was ordering my Star Destroyer bits from Falcon 3D recently they had a 1/48 Y-Wing listed for sale. Not cheap though.

Otherwise, a Lambda shuttle and a 1/48 Tie Interceptor would be just fine with me..

In 1/72, the Death Star would be roughly two and a quarter kilometres in diameter. Wonder where'd you stash that kit.

I think a 1/72 death star would be out of my budget 💷  💷  💷......and shelf space!

Imagine the box it would come in.....a Bandai box the size of an IKEA warehouse! 😁
