Just guessing, but I imagine its to be able to re-release the old MPC toolings. Not up to the modern Bandai or FM stuff, and the scales are all over the place, but I for one will be glad to see the 2 Hoth dioramas back as well as Slave 1. Ebay prices for those are gone crazy...

Still not sure it'll make the availability on this side of the pond much better though.

Gee,  I thought this announcement would garner more excitement, then again, it is the weekend.  🤔

If it's just the old MPC kits then it's an '...mmmph..' from me. New stuff would be good, especially given R2's pedigree with large scale sci-fi kits.

I'm sure they will wet the appetites' with the older less detailed but decent scaled kits to hit the nostalgia buttons, maybe even with some retooling involved.

But new tooled kits should get people excited, the chance of a 1:32 X-Wing or AT-ST has me a little pumped.

I also grew up watching wacky racers so the chance I might get to build Dick Dasterdlys Mean Machine is awesome.

I've never seen or heard of these toys/kits before.  I see a collection in my future :)
