Centurion AVRE

HL-10

Recommended Posts

This is Amusing Hobbies 1/35th scale Centurion AVRE from the first Gulf War.

A straight forward kit, no real dramas.

Tracks are individual link, click together and they are "de-sprued" so are simplicity itself.

Stowage is from the spares box as are the figures.

The driver is a Tamiya item, the other two are white metal figures who's origin completely escapes me!

Painted with Xtracolor enamels.

Spot on, well done! Did you use the road wheels supplied in the kit? Which xtracolour did you use for the overall colour?

Yes, all original kit parts.

The colour used was RAL8020 DAK/Afrika Korps Tan Yellow enamel

I didn't know you do AFVs too!

Yes, armour, aeroplanes, figures, sci fi, bit of a jack of all trades! :)

Looks fantastic! I've not built mine as yet but received the AfV club AVRE today! People prefer the wheels in the afv club kit but I liked them better on the the first centurion with the 17 pounder I built with the solid plastic wheels better! Doesn't take long to bottom a coupe weld beads especially if using archers resin welds on the wheels!
