Angus73
Hi Guys, I've just had an opportunity to buy locally this unit for a special price as loyal customer and due to fact that 2 or 3 parts are missing. I love this car so I have started immediately assembling. In the net one can find huge number of photos as this car has has a lot of fans still in the US. I have started as usual from the engine and frame I have enriched carburetor with some "jewellery", I mean some bolts, nuts, etc. and a frame, a bit rusty but generally in a good condition In this stage, the engine will be put into the frame, a lot of add-ons will be installed later Best regards, tbc...
Angus73
Hi Guys, an update. I made wheels. I cut of original spokes, replaced with steel ones, added bolts, painted tires and put all together. Later I put engine into the frame. I have made front and rear suspension. All brakes elements done from the scratch, pipes, tubes, cords, connectors and a handbrake set. TBC. Regards

Angus73
Hi Guys, an update with lower chasis, leather covered front seat and some external parts painted; to be polished. As internal surfaces of setas on inner part of door are pretty easy to cover, I used this time leather-like sheets. I think it is ok, tbc. And assembled with frame And all external colors Regards

dnl42
Very nice! My neighbor has a Tudor version, so much more utilitarian than this sporty rig. Not sure the year.

Sabrejet
That does look good: I think that's also the first time I've seen a leather seat that looks in-scale
Angus73
Hi today grille and cooler update: 1. I decided to do it myself, as the original was just a piece of black plastic; so I cut of interior part, found silver wire 0,3mm, and polystyrene 0,5mm, and PE grille 2. Cut polystyrene into cooler elements 3. Wrapped with silver wire and tried to put all together 4.Added polystyrene edges 5.Painted with black semigloss, used ear stick to remove a bit, put rust and grey dirt, etc 6. Added PE grille 7.Painted with Lola blue, gloss clear and put C1 chrome on external part grille frame 8. And put finally in place Regards, tbc
Sabrejet
That does look good. I had no idea there were so many 1/16 car kits out there. Might need to expand my eBay searching...

PhilX
Your work is really nice ... 🙂 Perhaps you can reverse the steering wheel. So the grooves will be behind the steering wheel, as are the driver's fingers ... 😉 Edited May 21, 2021 by PhilX
Angus73
Hi Guys, Finally I could complete engine compartment with all details I was going to add. Started from engine and ending up with engine, as cooler was just placed. I think this is the last update in WIP section. Everything is done but bonnet, laying aside. Take an invitation to gallery, hopefully sooner than later And a nice figure on top of that Regards
