Desert Storm RAF Jaguar Intake colour info help

G'day people,

 

As the thread title suggest, I need to know what colour the inside of the air intakes were painted. I believe that the deeper portions of the intake ducts were a zinc chromate colour (often stained) but I think the first few feet had the external colour continue inside, ie the green and grey colours.

 

I know that the 'pink' camo was sprayed directly over the green and grey scheme, did this include the intake externals or were these left in their original colour. Pictures of restored examples seem to show the pink inside the intakes but I tend to be a little wary of restored examples

Take a look here:

 

Our museum example has pink intake ducts as far as the wraparound normally goes inside. i.e. just past the blow in doors.

While this airframe is restored the intakes are original and have been left that way as requested by the Gent who bought the airframe.

Definitely Pink up to the Zinc Chromate.

In doubt, or if it is too difficult use a FOD! Make it by yourself?
