Tribute to a Departed Modeller

Recommended Posts

Pat, what a great post - thanks!

Like many others posting here I too can identify with a maladjusted stash/age/ability/time equation for my acquiring models and books.

And my kids too have little interest in my hobby.

In the past I helped an eBay seller (who was very sincere and well-intentioned but not a modeller) achieve a good result for a widow disposing of her husband's collection in distressing circumstances - she was nearly fleeced by a local trader who offered her pennies on the £ for the lot. I simply provided some on-line support and guidance to the seller about listing terms and phrases.

No distress caused Pat - perhaps just a necessary reality check!

And a great job on the Heinkel- well done!

Please do not think you have upset me ,far from it .The story and what you did is heartwarming. Personally i had been thinking about things for a few months now .So i have sorted out what will happen to my collection, and i feel a lot happier now ,and now one less thing to worry about. So again thankyou for such a heartwarming story  ,stay safe and well all the best HOMER .
