Jabba
After what felt like a million coats of paint (well at least 6) I finally got the colour density that I wanted on the first colour of the upper camo scheme. I hope that the other 2 don't take as long. I have also finished off the larger missiles.

Jabba
Thanks it just seems to take a long time to get anywhere. Anyhow I have applied the Darker Brown. I am not to sure that this is the correct pattern for the cam as I only have one side profile for the aircraft that I am building so I have also used the kit diagram and a Hi-Decal sheet to cobble something together. Some tarting up is require especially between the upper and lower colours.
Jabba
Tarting up done and I have also painted the Dk Grey electric panels plus some of the metal at the rear end. Time for some Klear soon and then decalling.
Jabba
Decals now applied. I gave up with many of the stencils as they either broke up or were illegible. The Serial Number was cut and shunted so as to replicate the one in the profile in the book that I am using which also carry the Remora ECM pod. The Iraqi triangles look a little odd with the wings spread as they face forward when the wings are folded as per the last photo. I still have to apply decals to the missiles and will also start to build up the U/Cs once I have applied a matt varnish.
exdraken
Looks great! What is this again? 23296? I am always puzzled by the triangle orientation on the wings! Although when swept back, no worries! Even looks intentional
Jabba
Thanks, the Ser No is 23298. Now standing on its U/C using the Res Kit wheels, much better than the kit ones although I am not sure if the mud guard fits around the nose ones. May have to do some adjustments to make it so. Still to paint up the U/C doors fully, but getting around to that. Also applied the decals to the R-23 missiles, plus the ECM pod and fuel tank. Jabba
Getting there, well almost. Added the landing gear doors, the folding fin and some of the armament.
Jabba
All finished now. I had to borrow a few things again from the MiG-25 kit as KP do not supply all that the RV kit did. These are the probe at the front of the canopy and the aerial on the spine. In the RV kit the probe is resin whilst the aerial is etch. I have also added the flare dispensers on top of the fuselage from the Pantera Su-22 kit.
