Giorgio N
Don't have any official confirmation, but I've been told that the blue paint used on Aeronavale types of the era was made by Cellolac, a company established in the '20s and active til 1963s, when they merged with another company (Lory) to form Celomer, that is another well known name to those interested in the camouflage of French aircraft. Now going a bit OT, Cellolac seems to have somehow related to the British Cellon, I don't know if one produced paints for the other but in any case at some point both seem to have been part of the Pinchin Johnson group, later being acquired by Courtalds and then Akzo Nobel, although IIRC the aviation paint part was sold to PPG. Maybe someone who knows more about Cellon may also know about Cellolac. The paint used on the Aeronavale aircraft in the '50s may well be one in their catalogue
