dov
Hallo Now this is a matter of a big project. Because 3 Panzer IV with interior are in my stash. I want to build them starting with Bergepanzer from Trumpeter, and Ausführung J from MiniArt and after that from RFM. The MiniArt kit is the guideline. Because this kit from MiniArt is the best of all. In detail and color instruction. Also the website is also a marvelous guideline. The Bergepanzer will have the same color pattern as the late version J. So, actually I intend to build my Bergepanzer in a late version. After 1943. With one book about the versions of Panzer IV I hope to get along. Happy modelling
dov
Hallo As you see I did some progress. The build was actually straightforward. Here I have to say, the instruction is a little mess. You have to rethink most of the parts, the order to assembly is full of contradictions. The fit of parts is in some stages awful and need to drill the appropriate diameter or grinding. The wheels for instance, one drive sprocket did not fit at all. All support rollers did not align at all. Drill and grind were essential. As you see on the photo, the hull in front and rear had a major gap. With some plastic profiles I got it. Well, the track chain is simple, but difficult to glue. Butt glue. Well, so far today. vaoinas
Seems you are starting to like the armor with interior. Great start here.
dov
Seems you are starting to like the armor with interior. Yes, vaoinas I hate shells! As for aircraft. I liked to scratch interior from nose to tail. It gave me much more understanding for the original. Armor is a good side step after 25 years of aircrafts only!
