Info about russian MiG29 SMT deployed in Syria

Hello gentlemen

 

I'm preparing to build 1/48 MiG 29 SMT and I'm looking for info, reference piccies, weapon configuration, web links etc. about the russian SMT dispatched to Syria, circa 2018.

My web search wasn't very succesful until now, most of my hits being about MiG 29, not SMT, beeing delivered to Syria air force.

 

If you have any hint, know the gem website about russia air operations, thanks in advance,

Those are more likely older MiG-29 models not SMT....

The SMT was only deployed briefly to Syria ..

Hi there

 

The Russians on Syria, well some of us expect to see MiG-29STM, Su-27SM, Su-24M, Su-25 and maybe Su-34 armed with lots of bombs and surprizing other than (2 to 4) iron bombs not many can be seen in the news

 

I wonder if the selective press news is really appliable or if its the reality of Russian AF not many PGM available

 

As modeller I got some Zvesda kits in wonderful 1/72 scale and got impress with the variety of weapons inside I also watch Scalemates for Trumpeter kits but not many photos of fighter bombers full loaded (all pylons loaded) at least

I'm not sure of the exact time and place for this bird, but it is from an article about an aircraft crash in Syria in 2018 (https://runaruna.ru/articles/18060-rossijskij-istrebitel-razbilsya-v-sirii/)

 

Knowing my aircraft recognition skills, it's probably a MiG-29A from Serbia...

This article is from 2017 (I think) and is about a MiG-29 detachment returning to Astrakhan: https://rg.ru/2017/12/13/reg-ufo/zveno-mig-29-smt-vernulos-iz-sirii-v-astrahan.html. Excellent, thank you all for your inputs, I'll see what my line will be, probably will go for the kit proposed schemes and will see to make a Su-25, for the weapon configurations seems to be more "sexy" 😎
