I musta missed it somewhere.

No, 'cos it didn't happen. Nothing has changed except for my health which took a severe nose dive.

Have a search for Diverticulitus. Infection/inflamation of the lower bowel. Add severe constipation/dehydration and the body starts to eat itself.

I lost about 16KG . All my muscles from the job and body fat gone. Hence feeling cold. No energy and multiple toilet visits 24/7.

I last have a good nights sleep in early Feb. Not good. In the last few days I think I may have almost clawed back nearly 1 KG. God bless soup!

Eating can be difficult as nothing tastes quite right, but I have to persevere. Seeing a surgeon on Tuesday so we'll see what he says.

They really don't want to operate on the abcess in there and I've had four lots of strong antibiotics so can't have any more.

I really do not want to go into a hospital bed anyway! Though daytime TV at home can be awful! Mancave still chilly and can't even chop wood.

Sorry to ramble on but that's where we are at. The Mojo is still very strong and I will finish this one. the next two are already in planning in my head.

Stay safe, Pete

Jebus cripus Pete!

When you said you were feeling a bit punk, I figured you had the 'flu or a hangover or something.

Didn't count on British understatement I guess. (Only a flesh wound my eye!)

That sounds like major suckage.

I mean, it could be worse I suppose but jeez.

I wish there was something I could do for ya but I guess I am limited to the occasional jibe at your expense.

Get out there and get better dammit!

Many thanks for all the concern, Guys. The Doctors want to get inside there for a look.

But in my present state of health it's not an option. My low BP wouldn't get on with anaesthetic and it would do me no good whatsoever.

So I have to carry on as I am for a while until they can go ahead.

Jeez Pete, I just was flicking thru and thought.. "wonder what he's up to there"...only to discover you're seriously crook. Sounds terrible...we had an elderly relly that suffered with that, but a far milder form than what you've been through it seems.

I do hope you can get something sorted ASAP, there must be stuff that can help you even on a temp basis you'd think ?...is there any complimentary or alternative things you can try?..gotta be worth a look, without being all Kumbaya some natural remedies are actually quite powerful I believe.

Anyway I'll be sending you "positive waves man.." !  ..all the best P

I have to drink two bottles of high calorie stuff (2000 calories per bottle) twice a day which probably helps.

And eat around every two hours.

Hopefully something will stick around in there!

Thanks for the positive waves, Baby! Love that film! Woof Woof!

Dammit Pete, am sore grieved to hear of your physical woes. Good to hear of the minor weight gain but may it be merely the first step on the road to full recovery my friend.

Thinking of you at this time. 🤗

Tony.

And bless you too, Sir, for that.

I went down to Lincoln Hospital today and saw the head Honcho there on the subject. (Mr Khan. I could not stop thinking Star Trek!)

He asked questions about what is currently happening in the smallest room and then did a quick exam/prod of my lower torso.

After a look at my latest blood test results he looked happy. All seems to be going to plan apparently. I AM (V SLOWLY) getting better.

It will take Months, I will have good and bad days (& nights). He wants to do a Colonoscopy maybe next Month.

At worst, if the Abcess doesn't clear up, there is an option to cut out & rejoin that bit of bowel. Not ideal but hey, this cannot carry on forever.

Anyway, after that I went to Aldi & stocked up on soups. Less than half the price of Heinz at Morrisons.

Go there, get the Bramwell brand Classic Tomato. OMG. Best I've ever had. Their Ravioli beats Heinz too.

I grabbed other favours, some at 31p. I got a bagfull for 4.99!

After that went around to McD's and met up with a workmate I've not seen since last year. The breakfast bun was just Okay, but the coffee was good.

So there we are. More bloods tomorrow. After I've been to Gainsborough to retrieve a parcel from Parcel Farce after their idiot driver tried to

deliver it to our garage side door (It doesn't even have a number on it!) instead of the front door. Beggars belief.

Thursday morning I will be off down to Leicester. The ancestral council house. Mum is 91 on Friday, Bless her. so I will spend a long weekend there*.

No WiFi so I'll be out of touch but, to compensate, the food will be excellent! Nothing like Mum's cooking is there?

Much obliged for the concern, Guys. Thank you all. Pete

*No, she doesn't know yet!

Back on site now after a very nice and relaxing week.

It was only family members for the Birthday (91!) but we had a great time and Mum still had a smile on her lips at bedtime!

And yes, the food was good. Thanks for looking in.

Thank you, kind, Sir. Progress is rather glacial and will take months at this rate. Much to my Wife's disgust.

I have weekly blood tests and will see a specialist on the 13th.

Meantime I eat five times a day. But as I try to gram it in, my body gets rid. It's all rather boring! :toilet:

Where is the energy? Is more relevant. By lunchtime it's all gone and that's just from pottering around the house & eating my 10:00am soup!

Besides, still too cold out there! Mojo levels are still reported to be good though. Worry not!

It's not as if there's even Crown Court or Farmhouse Kitchen to look forward to after the lunchtime news any more either is it?

Sorry to hear this phase is taking so long Pete.

I saw the specialist on Tuesday. I'll be discussed at a meeting of Docs' today. Could be a camera job soon. 📹

I had the camera thing years ago, (but from the other end) it wasn't nearly as unpleasnt as I'd imagined either !

Positive waves coming in for you anyway.. 👍

Thankfully one of the few things not livestreamed these days...afaik....

Hope that brings you a step closer to effective treatment Pete. 👍

Likewise PotW.

Sometimes I'd miscalculate though and The Sullivans would be on...
