"It's a Lanc Jim, but not as we know it!" 1:72 Avro Lancaster B.II

Recommended Posts

Very nicely done model. The Hercules engines look oversized compared to the Merin, but I must say they really don't look bad on the Lanc'. Thanks for giving us something different.

Thanks for the kind words! I admit they looked alien to me when I started out on the build, but I think the B.II has very workmanlike lines which have really grown on me...

What a great looking finished model Roger.  The issues you had do not show up at all on the model.  Thank you for the really interesting WIP your techniques are very skillful and  I also learn so much from all the BMers that add their pennyworth.

Looks great and really well finished. It’s good that the kit includes the flaps rather than having to buy extras. I’ve still got the revel lanc in the stash to build-one day!

Thanks for the kind words! I highly recommend the kit - it's beautifully engineered. Just beware the decals - ask me how I know...

Meant to ask, is the DG AK Interactive too? Rather like the look of it.

Mike

The DG is Tamiya XF81 - it sprays beautifully thinned 50:50
