SafetyDad
Truly outstanding! A wonderful build and totally convincing end result - your paintwork and weathering is extraordinary! SD
Sky Keg
I refuse to believe that this is a Mosquito in 32nd scale. It MUST be the real thing!!!! Impressive and outstanding results my friend!!!! Mike

Rather sad that the build tread has ended - it`s been a pleasure and something to look forward to. Right now looking for AMS slipper tanks...... sold out it seems. Cheers John Regarding the build thread, the one I posted here on BM was a bit sporadic. If anyone wants to read the extremely boring and overly detailed version, it’s over on LSP. Thanks to everyone for the kind comments, they are greatly appreciated. Regards, John

I thought you might be interested to see a few photos of what it looks like now.? The control tower. 20180412_115203 A well known photo of taxiing Mosquitos IMG_3014 And again IMG_3013 The same view today taken from on top of the control tower. Thank you very much for those pictures. I was actually booked on a trip to Scotland last May which obviously was cancelled due to COVID. I had planned on trying to get my wife onboard for a slight detour to check out the old base. I'm a pleasantly surprised that there is this much left. Hopefully when this virus is behind us, I can finally make it out there. Regards, John
keithjs
You're very welcome John. I have quite a few more if you're interested. Please note tho' I had special permission to be on the land as most of it is now private property and locked gates were involved. Don't forget to check out the small museum in the Boyndie Garden Centre/visitor centre too, there are some nice artifacts and its a pleasant place for a light lunch. And of course there's also the Dallachy Strike Wing memorial on the outskirts of the old Dallachy airfield.(21 miles from RAF Banff along the A98) Look out for Beaufighter Road... Anyway, I hope you'll be able to make it soon.
Alan P
This is a superb job, one of the best models I've seen on here. The detailing is just right and your painting is excellent, very realistic and understated. Inspirational stuff! Alan
