jarkmodels
First model of 2021!. Jagdtiger, Tamiya 1/48th. Almost all weathering was done by using Oil Paints and the OPR technique, (no enamels washes or filters) and the last 10% with pigments/X-20A fixer and a little bit of acrylic mud. cheers, Jorge

Thank you Echen, yeah it's certainly the biggest tank in 1/48th I've done! 7 hours ago, swralph said: Excellent build and weathering Jorge.😀 Thank you, I really enjoyed the whole process in particular the weathering with oil paints. 😉 7 hours ago, Longbow said: Very nice finish on this one.... Looks bigger than 1/48 Thank you Longbow, the Jagdtiger was the heaviest armoured fighting vehicle in operation in the second world war so even in 1/48th scale it is a quite big size model! 5 hours ago, Bullbasket said: Lovely work on the paint and excellent weathering. I have three more amour models going at the moment (which is weird, cause I have never done this before when building other genres. Always one model at a time!) which I will post as I finish them. Excuse my ignorance but what's OPR? Yeah, it was massive. The biggest and heaviest operational self propelled vehicle with a gun in the second world war... OPR stands for "Oil Paint Rendering" it is a technique invented by Michael Rinaldi and is about using all the strength of oil paint during the weathering process...You can do pretty much everything (expect for pigments) with them. Check this LINK where he explain the concept or better still get his amazing series of books TANKART on his website HERE 1
Harry Callahan
Yes i can highly recommend his books, i have tank art1 and 4 and its the best what i ever read about oil paint weathering. Michael Rinaldi is also a nice guy, i met him 3 years ago in Delmenhorst at MBK.
